The AS16XX family of EMI and ESD devices include the AS1601, embarking as the market's first active EMI suppressor for Ethernet apps, and the AS1602 logging in as the first active EMI and ESD suppressor for Ethernet. The AS1601 enables Class B compliance with an additional 10 dB of CM rejection while performing continuous monitoring and suppression of CM noise. Suppressing differential-to-common mode imbalance of Ethernet lines, the device meets the human-body model JESD22-A114-A requirements for ±2 kV Gigabit Ethernet performance. Additionally, it operates from a single 2.5V/3.3V supply and over an industrial temperature range. Otherwise similar to the AS1601, the AS 1602 adds active ESD suppression. Specs include an air discharge greater than ±25 kV, cable discharge greater than ±12 kV, and the device meets the requirements of JESD22-A114-A at ±8 kV. AKROS SILICON, Folsom, CA. (916) 351-8100.
