A series of slim in-line connectors from Hirose are designed to take advantage of small/confined spaces—smooth contours and a multi-row layout arranges the contacts in a grid pattern that reduces the diagonal diameter by 50%. A locking structure gives users two-lock completion indicators, a tactile click, and a visual check of the socket lock through the plug slit. No exposed metal on the DF62 series connector eliminates the possibility of short circuits between the connector and the inside of the metal conduits. The device’s two-point crimp contact design boosts reliability, and is resistant to shock and vibration. Reinforced lances prevent deformation caused by cable pulling and increase connection strength. The DF62’s current rating is up to 3 A, and voltage rating is 250 V ac-dc. Contact resistance is 30 mΩ max, and durability is assured for up to 30 full insertion/withdrawal cycles. Applications include servo amps, LED lighting, and portable medical devices.
