VXI System Handles In-Circuit and Functional Test

The Spectrum™ 8800-Series is a board test system built around an integrated VXI system architecture for in-circuit and board-function test. Three models are available: the 8851, the 8852 and the 8855 with up to 1,280, 2,560 and 5,120 non-multiplexed driver channels, respectively.

Included in the system is a high-performance DSP-based digital test instrument that offers full parallel sensing with comprehensive vector-test capability for SSI, LSI, VLSI and boundary scan test. An in-line device programming capability provides high-throughput programming of flash memories and programmable logic devices on any tester pin. The PC/Windows NT-based programming environment supplies integrated CAD translation, testability analysis, test-program generation and fixture-design software. 8851: <$100,000; 8852: starts at $120,000; 8855: starts at $265,000.
