Peak power analyzer detects signal-trace abnormalities

The 8990B Peak Power Analyzer is equipped with a 15-inch XGA color touchscreen capable of simultaneously displaying four-channel results for more image detail. The sampling rate is 100 MS/s.

Fifteen predefined pulse parameter measurements, including rise time, pulse droop, pulse width, and time delay, can be executed automatically in two steps via the touchscreen. These parameters support design, testing, and validation of power amplifiers, TR modules, transponders, radar test sets, satellite payloads, and other devices that require complex pulse measurement.

Complementing the 8990B are the new N1923A and N1924A wideband power sensors that cover a frequency range of 50 MHz to 18 GHz and 50 MHz to 40 GHz, respectively. When combined with either sensor, the 8990B achieves 5-ns rise time/fall time.
