Data-acquisition system
The HBM GEN7tA transient recorder and data acquisition system can acquire and stream data up to 400 MB/s, making it a good choice for applications such as avionics testing that require hundreds of channels and high sample rates.
The standard 1-Gb/s Ethernet interface supports streaming recorded data directly to a PC at 100 MB/s. A 1-Gb/s optical Ethernet option allows isolated control of the mainframe as well as cable lengths up to 10 km while maintaining full streaming performance. For higher streaming rates of 400 MB/s, a 10-Gb/s electrical or optical Ethernet option is available. When more reliable or distributed storage of recorded data is required, the GEN7tA supports an optional removable solid-state disk or can directly store recorded data on an external network attached storage device. Charge vibration measurement instrument
The RX0224, a 24-channel high-performance charge vibration measurement instrument, enables users to record charge-type transducers in harsh environments. Multiple input ranges and 24-bit ADC per channel allow for very high resolution measurements so large or small vibration events can be accurately captured.
The 10-32 coaxial “microdots” in the unit offer a direct connection for each input channel and the ability to select either single-ended or differential inputs, giving users more flexibility with a wider range of charge input devices. To provide maximum reliability, power and communications functions use MIL-standard type connectors. By leveraging the IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol standard, the RX series is able to support rapid integration and precise synchronization of multiple devices. VTI Instruments
High-speed AXIe digitizer
The M9709A 8-bit high-speed digitizer provides 32 synchronous channels of 1-GS/s sampling in a single module. The M9709A is suitable for multichannel applications in advanced physics experiments such as hydrodynamics, plasma fusion (Tokamak/Stellarator), particle physics, and microwave astronomy. The single-slot AXIe module also accommodates 16 channels at 2 GS/s when interleaved. It can provide more than 500-MHz analog bandwidth and enables long acquisitions with its very large onboard memory of up to 16 GB.
To ensure high throughput, the digitizer features a four-lane PCI Express Gen 2 backplane, allowing sustained data transfer rates of up to 1.2 GB/s. With four onboard Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGAs, the M9709A high-speed DAQ also optimizes measurement throughput and supports future customized implementations of high-performance data processing. 5-GS/s LXI digitizers
For applications where fast electronic signals in the gigahertz range need to be remotely acquired and analyzed, the digitizerNETBOX series of LXI-based instruments now includes eight new models. Available with two, four, or eight fully synchronous channels, the new units feature sampling rates up to 5 GS/s, bandwidth in excess of 1.5 GHz, and onboard acquisition memory up to 8 GS. The combination makes the digitizers suitable for capturing long complex high-frequency signals and for characterizing fast timing events that go down to the nano- and sub-nanosecond ranges.
Fully LXI compliant, the digitizerNETBOX products allow remote control and data transfer over fast Gigabit Ethernet. The digitizers can be connected directly to a notebook, PC, or a company LAN. The digitizerNETBOX DN2.22x series instruments are available with immediate delivery and shipped with SBench6-Pro software, support drivers, and a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. Spectrum
The VDS 200Q four-quadrant voltage-drop simulator is a fast bipolar amplifier that can source and sink current using a programmed voltage in both positive and negative polarities. The amplifier generates dips and drops, short interruptions, and voltage variations to simulate a range of phenomena occurring on a vehicle wiring harness. This allows the new simulators to drive capacitive loads and absorb energy feedback from the DUT up to the nominal current.
With unlimited operation from -15 V to +60 V, this DC voltage source simulates a wide number of battery-supply waveforms used by manufacturers in the automotive industry as well as for international quality standards. Uses include military, avionics, and automotive environments for test according to Audi, BMW, ISO, Mercedes-Benz, SAE, and VW specifications. EM Test, a unit of AMETEK Compliance Test Solutions
80-MS/s PCIe digitizer
A new high-speed PCI Express digitizer, the PCIe-9814, features four simultaneously sampled 80-MS/s input channels with 12-bit resolution, 40-MHz bandwidth, and up to 1-GB DDR3 onboard memory. The PCIe-9814 delivers accurate high dynamic performance in 76-dB SFDR, 64-dB SNR, and -75-dB THD, with up to 640-MB/s data streaming, enhanced price/performance, and maximum optimization for radar testing, power management monitoring, and nondestructive testing.
The PCIe-9814’s 80-MS/s sampling and 40-MHz signal bandwidth meet the requirements of medium frequency radar signal reception from IF radar receivers. It provides external digital trigger input for synchronous trigger radar signaling while three extra synchronous digital inputs receive radar synch pulse signals or GPS IRIG-B code to support radar signal markers or synchronous timestamping used in radar testing.
