FPC/FFC connector
Designed for automotive and other high-temperature applications, the FH65 Series compact flexible printed circuit (FPC)/flat flexible connector (FFC) is resistant to temperatures from -40 to 125°C. Featuring a pitch of 0.50 mm, a height of 1.20 mm, and depth of 3.57 mm, the FH65 Series reduces the occupied mounting area by 47% (on average) with a weight reduction of 62% (on average) compared with previous technologies, the vendor said.
The actuator is positioned so that solder tabs and terminals firmly retain the actuator, suitable for high-vibration applications. The space-saving I-shaped solder tabs not only allow visual inspection, but also offer a high-retention force of 23 N. With a wide 120-degree FPC/FFC opening and guided positioning, the FH65 Series is easy to use.
The FH65 Series connector is suited for a wide range of automotive applications including camera, millimeter-wave radar, and heads-up display systems. The FH65 Series is currently available in a 34-position version. It meets halogen-free requirements and is RoHS compliant. The FH65 Series has a rated current of 0.5 A, a rated voltage of 50 V AC/DC, and a contact resistance of 50 mΩ. Hirose

The new SDLM-019-070-01-01 direct-drive linear motor is the latest addition to a series of zero-backlash, zero-cogging, high-acceleration, high-speed, high-resolution, long-life linear servo motors. Also known as an electric cylinder, this compact direct drive linear motor is 0.75 in. (19.1 mm) in diameter and 2.75 in (69.9 mm) long. Protected inside the motor housing, the linear optical quadrature encoder is directly connected to the shaft for the greatest possible accuracy. This direct drive linear motor features 1.25 µm (0.000049 in.) in of resolution.
The SDLM-019-070-01-01 direct drive linear motor has a stroke length of 0.500 in. (12.7 mm), a continuous force rating of 9.7 oz. (2.7 N), and peak force of 30.7 oz (8.5 N). This non-commutated direct-drive servo motor features quiet long life plain linear bearings, an integrated internal (1.25-micron resolution) quadrature optical encoder with differential outputs, and a non-rotating shaft. Some applications include manufacturing (assembly and inspection equipment), sorting and packaging, semiconductor handling, medical equipment and instruments, antenna positioning, dampers, and valve actuators. The SDLM-019-070-01-01 direct-drive linear actuator is also available as a complete plug-and- play linear motion system with a matching motion controller. Moticont
The SAM D5x and SAM E5x 32-bit microcontroller (MCU) families offer extensive connectivity interfaces and robust hardware-based security for a variety of applications. Both families include a Quad Serial Peripheral Interface (QSPI) with an Execute in Place (XIP) feature, allowing use of high-performance serial flash memories—which are both small and inexpensive compared with traditional pin-parallel flash—for external memory needs. The SAM D5/E5 devices also feature a Secure Digital Host Controller (SDHC) for data logging, a Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC) for capacitive touch capabilities, and what the vendor calls best-in-class active power performance (65 μA/MHz) for applications requiring power efficiency. Additionally, the SAM E5 family includes two CAN-FD ports and a 10/100-Mb/s Ethernet media access controller (MAC) with IEEE 1588 support, making it suited for industrial automation, connected home, and other IoT applications. USB Type-C test fixture
A USB Type-C test interface board for the CableEye cable and harness testing systems includes a daughter board populated with two USB-C female connectors. It allows users to continuity-check USB Type-C terminated cables using the CableEye tester while seeing the connectors-under-test rendered graphically. The CB26U fits all CableEye models.
Sold as a set of two boards, each CB26U accepts two USB Type-C connectors. In addition to the latest CableEye software, it requires the CB26 small-frame motherboard for operation, and it plugs into one of two available slots—two USB-C-connectors can be tested simultaneously. The CB26 (with CB26U) attaches to the tester like a regular connector board. All connector boards are included in CableEye’s standard, renewable one-year warranty of the tester for which it was purchased. Available immediately, a CB26U set is $185. CAMI Research Inc.
Hybrid connector
The compact SuperCon hybrid power and signal circular connector saves time and costs for cabling, installation, and maintenance for conventional wiring of applications like motors, servo drives, and linear units/drives, the company reports. By combining power supply and data transmission into one single connector, the compact SuperCon Series hybrid connector system saves space by eliminating the need for an additional wire and connector. The rugged IP67-rated connector features a safe and secure connection via a bayonet locking mechanism.
The SuperCon Series is available in three different sizes, depending on specific applications: B12, B17, and B23. While the number of pins and the permitted voltages vary depending on the size, the 360-degree shielded data core is always the same and is designed for industrial Ethernet Cat 5 with wire cross section AWG22. Each pin layout is available with a minimum of two different codings that are marked by different color rings, eliminating mismating. CONEC
The LTC5552 double balanced mixer features wideband matching from 3 GHz to 20 GHz. The mixer can be used as an up- or downconverter. The LTC5552 is useful in upconversion applications with its DC-capable differential IF port that enables the LO to be close in frequency to the RF. Its low LO to RF leakage of less than -25 dBm eases the burden on the external filter. Additionally, the mixer delivers linearity of 20.1 dBm IIP3 at 14 GHz—and 18.3 dBm at 17 GHz.
The device integrates a broadband LO buffer, requiring only 0-dBm drive and effectively eliminating an external high power LO amplifier circuit. Moreover, the LTC5552 integrates a wideband balun transformer in its RF port, allowing single-ended 50-Ω matched operation over its specified frequency range. All these features result in minimum external components, simplified design and a very small solution size. The LTC5552’s wide bandwidth and performance is suitable for a broad range of applications, including 5G broadband wireless access; microwave backhaul; satellite broadband radio; radar systems; active antenna arrays; X-, Ku-, and Ka-band transceivers; RF test equipment; spectrum analysis; and satellite communications. DC resistance meter
Two DC resistance meters accurately measure resistance in the milliohm range. Model 2840’s measurement range is 1 μΩ to 20 kΩ with a basic accuracy of 0.1%, while the Model 2841’s measurement range is 0.1 μΩ to 100 MΩ with a basic accuracy of 0.01%, and it also features temperature compensation. Both meters are suited for measuring contact resistance of relays, switches, and PCB traces with greater accuracy and resolution than typical multimeters.
Each model features a touch screen, one-touch zoom, and pass/fail binning for ease-of-use when evaluating components. The front panel provides intuitive menu navigation and a 4-terminal input for accurate Kelvin measurements. The DC resistance meters also feature discrete and autoranging measurements for comparator, binning, and statistical displays. Users can control the series with SCPI and instrument-specific commands over standard USB and RS-232 interfaces for remote PC connectivity. The 2841 extends the remote control capabilities with a LAN interface and features a built-in webserver. B&K Precision
