An off-the-shelf measurement solution, the PD1550A Double Pulse Tester from Keysight Technologies delivers reliable and repeatable measurements of wide-bandgap (WBG) semiconductor power modules. The platform performs double pulse test, helping overcome the challenges of the dynamic characterization of WBG power modules. Examples include innovations in high-frequency testing, low leakage, and pulsed power.

Among its capabilities are probe compensation, offset adjustment, de-skewing, and common-mode noise rejection, as well as a semi-automated calibration routine to correct for system gain and offset errors. Additional features include de-embedding techniques to compensate for inductive parasitics in the current shunt, and True Pulse Isolate Probe technology for accurate high-side Vgs measurements. Solderless contact technology enables repeatable, reliable measurements without the need to solder large contact pads.
