What is a TechXchange?
A TechXchange is a collection of curated content selected by our editors on a particular topic, for example, our TechXchange: Oscilloscope Techniques. This isn't just a collection of articles that mention oscilloscopes or the latest products. Instead, these are technical articles that delve into the use and operation of tools and technologies. They include a mix of articles applicable to all levels of expertise from novices to experts.
We have been building TechXchanges on Electronic Design for a number of years now although the presentation did not allow us to group and annotate content (Fig. 1). When we create a new one, we collect articles that have already been created and add new content as it becomes available.
The articles and TechXchanges are linked together so you may find one by landing on an article in the collection via search from the internet or our site search. It's also possible to start on the main TechXchange page accessible from the menu bar. Either way, you should find some useful topics and articles.
A number of changes have been made using a new layout, including the addition of a Table of Contents (Fig. 2) on a topic like the TechXchange on oscilloscopes mentioned earlier. This allows us to organize the content to make it easier for you to find what you're looking for.
Content is now organized in sections with short descriptions of the type of content that was selected by the editors (Fig. 3). There are also links to get back to the Table of Contents if you want to check out other areas in the TechXchange.
We have also added comment support, polls, and surveys to the mix so that you can provide feedback and exchange ideas. Only the new or updated TechXchange landing pages will have these features.
We also accept contributed content in case you would like to add to a TechXchange. Not all articles are accepted, but technical articles are greatly appreciated. They will likely wind up in a TechXchange.
We're migrating existing TechXchanges over time. And we have a lot of them, so please be patient. You can still view them and check out the selected technical articles, videos, and podcasts, but the organization and extra features will not be available.
