Supertex constant current driver offers two-terminal solution for LED design

July 7, 2005
The CL2 from Supertex Inc. is a temperature-compensated, two-terminal, constant current LED driver trimmed to provide a 20 mA(±10%) current at input voltages of 5 V to 90 V.

The CL2 from Supertex Inc. is a temperature-compensated, two-terminal, constant current LED driver trimmed to provide a 20 mA(±10%) current at input voltages of 5 V to 90 V. Its input range suits the device for driving multiple applications with different operating voltages, thus reducing design complexity and overall inventory cost. The CL2 can be used in parallel to provide higher currents in 20 mA increments. It can drive long LED strings, and is suitable for a wide variety of LED applications, including automotive lighting.
