Supporting designs based on the 500-MHz, 0.9W Geode LX 800 processor, the LX EPIC reference-design kit (RDK) leverages an EPIC single-board computer form factor and a low-power system design to maximize adaptability and get products to market quickly.

Supporting designs based on the 500-MHz, 0.9W Geode LX 800 processor, the LX EPIC reference-design kit (RDK) leverages an EPIC single-board computer form factor and a low-power system design to maximize adaptability and get products to market quickly. The processor provides all capabilities found in the x86 instruction set with the ability to run a broad range of operating systems and applications. Described as a ready-to-go design, the RDK requires minimal user development and allows for accurate customization. In addition to the processor, the kit includes a 6-layer, lead-free board, 64-bit DDR SDRAM, 8 MB of SPI flash memory, four USB 2.0 ports, one Mini-PCI slot, 2-/6-channel audio software, two 10/100 Ethernet interfaces, JTAG interface, watchdog timer, 3V PWM, digital I/O, RS-232 interface, IEEE 1284 interface, and digital PWM.
