The rugged XMCM01 single-board computer (SBC) from GE Intelligent Platforms comes in the XMC form factor to maximize design flexibility for harsh-environment applications, particularly SWaP-constrained military/aerospace systems. Based on the Marvell ARMADA XP (Extreme Performance) series of multicore processors, the SBC comes in a range of CPU core and memory options to enable highly modular, upgradable designs for straightforward technology insertion, or to incorporate different levels of processing power on the carrier board. The ARMADA CPU has four ARMv7-compliant, 1.6-GHz CPU cores and 2-Mbyte L2 cache, and builds in advanced power management and waking options. The XMCM01 integrates 2 Gbytes of DDR3 SDRAM with ECC, four PCI Express ports via the P15 connector, a wide range of I/O via the P16 connector, three 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports, three RS-232/-422 UARTs, two SATA ports, three USB 2.0 ports, and eight GPIO ports.
