Variable Gain Amp Is Fully Programmable

Sept. 9, 2010
The MAX2063 embarks as the industry's only fully programmable, multistate, dual-channel, digital IF/RF variable-gain amplifier.

The MAX2063 embarks as the industry's only fully programmable, multistate, dual-channel, digital IF/RF variable-gain amplifier. The device provides unique, rapid-fire gain selection for four customized attenuation states per path and 25-ns digital switching. It can serve as either an IF or RF all-purpose amplifier, interfacing directly with 50? systems operating over the 50 MHz to 1 GHz frequency range. Since the stages within each path have their own RF input and RF output, the MAX2063 is configurable to optimize either noise figure or linearity. Available in a 48-pin TQFN package, prices start at $6.90 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
