Wireless base stations and other similar types of equipment can be made safe from lightning strikes by a new family of gas-filled tube and quarter-wave-type devices. The lightning protectors come in a variety of configurations, including bulkhead, pigtail and in-line types with either N or 7-16 style connectors. Both band-specific and broadband versions are available. Prices start at $60 each for the tubes and $75 each for the quarter-wave devices.
