Tactile Switches Provide Extended Lifecycles

The PTS 450 Series tactile switches from C&K components have extended operating lifecycles up to 500,000.

The PTS 540 Series tactile switches from C&K components have extended operating lifecycles up to 500,000. The surface mount ultra-low profile top-actuated tactile switches measure 3.7 mm x 3.7 mm with a board-mounted profile of 0.35 mm. They are RoHS-compliant single-pole, single-throw (SPST) devices with a selection of operating force ratings and operating life (160 gf ±50; 500,000 cycles, black casing, and 230 gf ±50; 200,000 cycles, gray casing). The switches have a travel distance of 0.15 mm ±0.1 mm and a bounce time of ≤10 ms. The operating temperature range is -30°C to 85°C and contacts are rated for 50mA (max) and 12VDC (max).
