The pairing of the VV6407 image sensor and VV654 companion ASIC results in high-performance color video output with a choice of composite analog formats. The set offers TV frame rates of 60 frames/s at 525-line NTSC output and 50 frames/s at 625-line PAL output. The camera chips can be connected directly to TV sets worldwide or to PCs with analog frame grabbers.The VV654 ASIC performs color interpolation, NTSC and PAL encoding, automatic exposure and gain control, color matrixing, color balance, and gamma and aperture correction. Evaluation kits are available.
