In compact PLCC-6 packages, the surface-mount, tri-color ASMT-YTB0 LEDs measure 4.4 mm x 4.4 mm x 3.5 mm and provide a 115-degree viewing angle. Meeting indoor and outdoor screen requirements for resolutions with a greater than 12-mm pixel size and high-brightness performance, the LEDs include six leads for individual control of each color chip to display a multitude of colors including white while providing thermal management. They employ a separate heat path for each LED to support higher drive currents. Other features include an operating life beyond 50,000 hours, compatibility with reflow soldering processes, low thermal resistance, RoHS compliance, and a moisture sensitivity rating meeting JEDEC MSL 2a Pricing for the ASMT-YTB0 LEDs is $0.60 each/1,000.
