The A3936 three-phase brushless dc motor controller/driver IC features 3-A DMOS output stages and commutation logic. The chip will operate with motor supply voltages up to 50 V and motor winding currents up to ±3 A. Its pulse-width modulation (PWM) control circuitry controls torque and motor speed. The controller also performs synchronous rectification of the FETs with no external commands. Other features include undervoltage lockout, thermal shutdown, tachometer output, and 44-pin PLCC packaging.

Pricing is $3.18 each per 5000.
