You needed to keep an eye out for identified flying objects at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show where drones were everywhere. Mostly it was smaller drones taking up open airspace with the larger versions behind screens to protect the drones from the masses of onlookers. The level of sophistication has risen with HD gimbaled cameras being common. Control applications and controllers aim to simplify every more complex tasks. It was amazing to watch someone throw a drone into the air and have it immediately level, hover and then zip off under user control with little more thought than using a Frisbee.
