The ESP901/902/904 family of serial servers allows serial data to be sent over the Internet or intranets to up to eight client locations anywhere in the world. They feature multi-cast/Unicast Web tools that configures devices from any browser. Any device with a serial port can be accessed with this utility. Either the UDP or TCP protocol can be used to communicate with multiple hosts. TCP opens and closes sockets and performs error checking for reliable but lower speed communications. The TCP option allows up to eight client connections. Serial networks up to 4,000’ long with 32 devices are possible.
