DC Filter Fortifies Photovoltaic Systems

Oct. 22, 2010
Limiting noise generated on the dc side of the inverter, the FMER SOL standard dc-filter series is suitable for use in photovoltaic systems.

Limiting noise generated on the dc side of the inverter, the FMER SOL standard dc-filter series is suitable for use in photovoltaic systems. The filter also ensures EMC compliance and overall reliability of the entire PV system and provides high-temperature resistance to simplify the system and reduce the energy needed for cooling. It handles currents from 25A to 1,500A at +55°C ambient temperature and voltages up to 1.2 kVdc. Available in both standard and medical M5 versions, the FMER SOL DC filters come with screw clamps for types up to 150A and copper bars for types upwards of 250A. SCHURTER INC., Santa Rosa, CA.
