Tools Aid FPGA, CPLD, PLD Designs

Sept. 1, 1998

PLSynthesizer for FPGA and CPLD design and PLDesigner for CPLD and PLD design are easy-to-use synthesis, optimization and mapping tools that add support for new technologies. Windows versions use FLEXlm licensing with web-based, on-line registration to eliminate hardware keys (dongles). It's said that benchmarks show that PLSynthesizer improves circuit performance by 31.3% compared to previous versions. PLSynthesizer and PLDesigner graphical user interfaces have been simplified to allow first-run success with minimal user interaction.
