The 1U VariCool-6127 flexible, 19-in. rack-mount fan tray comes complete with integrated SmartFan speed controls and/or alarms. It's constructed of heavy-duty steel with a power-coated front panel that can be easily customized. The tray can accommodate six fans providing up to 200 CFM each with a static pressure up to 0.75 in. of water. Blind-mate or latchable connectors can be used for power and signal connections. The VariCool-6127 can be customized with diode ORing of dual power feeds, input power and fan fusing, buck/boost variable fan speed control, fan performance monitoring, one- or two-way I2C bus communication, remote LEDs, and alarm outputs (logic, relay, or audible). Depending upon configuration, prices range from $343 to $536 in 200-piece quantities. Lead time is six to eight weeks.
