Ten semifinalists will be given the opportunity to build a prototype and three will be invited on an all-expenses-paid trip to showcase their prototypes in Orlando, where attendees will vote on the first, second, and third place winners ($10,000, $5000, and $2000, respectively). Ten finalists will receive $1000 each and a permanent license for the Professional Edition of CodeWarrior development tools (valued at $4995).

To register, go to www.freescale.com/designchallenge, where you’ll be prompted to complete a short product quiz. Pass the quiz and you can order a complimentary or discounted tool and gain access to the Professional Edition of ColdWarrior development tools. You can then design a project inside the optional virtual lab. Design papers must be submitted before Dec. 19, 2008.
