Hybrid Caps Feature Low ESR, Wide Temperature Range

Aug. 31, 2011
The MXCPB and MXCPT Series surface-mount, aluminum-polymer hybrid capacitors pair the low ESR characteristics of polymer caps with the low leakage current of aluminum electrolytics.

The MXCPB and MXCPT Series surface-mount, aluminum-polymer hybrid capacitors pair the low ESR characteristics of polymer caps with the low leakage current of aluminum electrolytics. Stable when exposed to temperature fluctuations, most of the components spec operating temperatures from -55°C to +135°C and load life ratings to 2,000 hours. Voltage ratings span 6.3 to 63 Vdc and capacitance values cover 10 µF to 560 µF. Additionally, the capacitors range in size from 6.3 mm diameter x 7.7 mm long to 10 mm x 12.5 mm. Prices for the MXCPB Series and MXCPT Series are $0.35 to $0.45 and from $0.55 to $0.95 each, respectively. TECATE INDUSTRIES, San Diego, CA. (619) 398-9700.
