The FS6X1220RT is a highly integrated offline power switch for dc-dc forward or flyback power converters. The chip integrates a fully avalanche rated SenseFET with a current-mode pulse-width modulator that switches at 300 kHz, allowing use of small external transformers. It features overvoltage, overload, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and thermal shutdown protection. Offered in TO-220 and D2-PAK packages, the chip costs $2.11 each per 1000.
