Acoustic Microphone Measures Gas-Borne Sound

For measurement of sound in the 200 Hz to 40 kHz frequency range, Model 938 high-intensity acoustic microphone is designed for applications operating up to 500°F. The device is mounted in a standard 3/4-in. NPT pipe port and is constructed for use in corrosive environments compatible with type 316 stainless-steel. This piezo-ceramic device is arranged in a balanced, isolated configuration to provide an electrically balanced and floating, differential signal to assure the maximum degree of noise immunity.
