Adapter Makes Connection Between PCI And VME Buses

Jan. 1, 1999

Designed for demanding applications requiring PCI-to-VMEbus connectivity and fiber-optic capability, the Model 618 bus-to-bus adapter provides real-time, transparent and deterministic connection that lets the PCI computer function as a coprocessor or as the only processor on the VMEbus system. The fiber-optic features make this adapter well-suited for environments requiring noise immunity, high performance, electrical safety, isolation and long distance operation. The adapter consists of one short form-factor PCI card, one 6U VMEbus card, support software, and a user's manual.
