Operator Station Integrates Networking & Control Functions

Jan. 1, 1999

The Operator Control Station (OCS), a logic controller with integrated operator interface and networking, seamlessly integrates with the firm's Series 90-30 PLCs and CIMPLICITY HMI software over a single CsCAN network. The OCS can control up to 64 points of I/O and can be used in stand-alone or distributed applications with a slave configuration over DeviceNet networks, or with peer-to-peer communication over CsCAN networks. It also supports Modbus RTU slave communication. One software package enables users to configure operator-interface screens, develop ladder logic, and configure communications.
