Driven by 12-bit HD4096 technology, Teledyne LeCroy’s high-definition oscilloscope (HDO) was recently honoured with the Design Vision Award for Test & Measurement at DesignCon. The scope (it comes in the HDO4000 and HDO6000 series) acquires waveforms with high resolution, high sample rate, and low noise. According to the company, waveform displays are cleaner and crisper with 16 times more vertical resolution than traditional 8-bit instruments. Waveform details that were tough to view can now be easily distinguished and measured. Nine models available in bandwidths from 200MHz to 1GHz sample at up to 2.5Gsamples/s with up to 250 Mpoints/channel of memory. HD4096 high-definition technology is rooted in high-sample-rate 12-bit ADCs; amplifiers with high signal-to-noise ratios; and a low-noise system architecture. Thanks to this technology, HDOs can capture and display signals of up to 1GHz at a high sample rate and 16 times more resolution than other oscilloscopes.
