B&K Precision’s models 2540B-GEN and 2542B-GEN digital storage oscilloscopes integrate function/arbitrary waveform generation capability into 60-MHz and 100-MHz, 1-sample/s instruments
B&K Precision’s models 2540B-GEN and 2542B-GEN digital storage oscilloscopes integrate function/arbitrary waveform generation capability into 60-MHz and 100-MHz, 1-sample/s instruments. Users can generate sine, square, and arbitrary waveforms from the scope's generator output terminal. The combination of aDSO and AWG lets users capture and store signals directly from the oscilloscope's channels to the generator's internal memory. User-defined arbitrary waveforms can also be edited through Comsoft PC software and then uploaded to the instrument. Other features include frequency sweep, burst mode, and a wide variety of modulation schemes such as AM, FM, FSK, PSK, and PWM. Scope features include deep memory up to 2.4 M points and built-in LAN interface. Lightweight and portable, the scopes also include tools such as pulse width, video and slope triggering; digital filtering; waveform recorder; pass/fail testing; FFT; and math functions. The 2540B-GEN (60 MHz DSO with 20-MHz AWG) and 2542B-GEN (100-MHz DSO with 40-MHz AWG) are listed at $1,195 and $1,395 each, respectively. For a limited time, customers who purchase a new 2540B-GEN or 2542B-GEN DSO can receive a free deluxe adapter kit per oscilloscope after registering each unit no later than July 15, 2012.
