Do You Recognize These? Early Removable Storage

Feb. 7, 2022
Removable storage was already a thing back when microprocessors first appeared.

This is part of the Do You Recognize These series in the Electronic History section of our Series Library.

Even before the Intel 8008, computers were around with removable storage.

This slideshow gallery presents some of the storage mediums used with mainframes, minicomputers, and early personal computers. A lot has changed over time. Walking around with a terabyte of storage at your fingertips is relatively new. See what you can recognize from our previews.
