A common project requirement is to have an adjustable voltage regulator programmed to deliver a specific dc output. Typically, the output voltage is determined by the ratio of two resistors. Replacing one or more of these resistors with a digital potentiometer (“digipot”) opens the door to digital control of the output voltage.
