RSL Repetitive Shock Vibration Systems featuring SCI individual impactor control and monitoring provide acceleration levels >100 grms and input vibration amplitudes >1,000 gpk. The impactors can be controlled discretely, synchronized to deliver bursts of high g shock events, or randomly unsynchronized over a wide frequency range.
The dual-strike impactors hit on the upstroke and the downstroke, improving peak probability stress distribution. Significant peaks out to 10 sigma on both ends of the bell curve increase fatigue. By imparting force in the downward direction, the SCI improves consistent stress components in all three axes.
The RSL SCI integrates consistent axis-to-axis uniformity, equivalent energy in each axis, and quadrant-to-quadrant table uniformity. It also can maintain tight tolerance over time and be configured to compensate for impactor wear.
