Jay Roy

Jay Roy has over 20 years of experience in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry and is currently the group director, SoC Power Continuum, at Synopsys. His expertise is in high-level synthesis, RTL analysis, synthesis, physical design, standard-cell creation and characterization, and RTL/gate power analysis. Previously, he has founded two startups, TriQuest, which was acquired by Summit Design in 1998, and Zenasis Technologies, acquired by Open Silicon in 2006. He received his B Tech, Electronics, and ECE from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and his PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
