OK maybe the title is a little cryptic. If you are a smaller company, or a consultant, you spend half your time planning for the future to get in the next big contract. When a customer says yes, you realize exactly what that means in terms of how much work you have to do.
I have only heard this expression used in one power-supply company. I was there for a meeting to help them with strategy, and a senior manager put his head in the room to announce: "THE BEAR IS IN THE CABIN."
By that he meant that they had a new customer. If you have stayed in the wilds in the U.S. in a small log cabin, you can imagine all the implications of the expression.
I, and my colleague Erich, have never forgotten that moment, and we use the expression to this day.
Looks like Ohm is going to have to hire a much bigger team.....
