Electric race car includes battery from Lithium Technology

The Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH (www.gumpert.de) Apollo plug-in hybrid electric vehicle participating in the 24-hour Nurburgring race last month (http://adac.24h-rennen.de/) was powered by a 9kWh GAIA battery from Lithium Technology Corporation (www.lithiumtech.com).

The Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH Apollo plug-in hybrid electric vehicle participating in the 24-hour Nurburgring race last month was powered by a 9kWh GAIA battery from Lithium Technology Corporation. A battery management system transmitted battery performance data via satellite to the vehicle’s support team. BRUSA supplied the vehicle’s 100 kW electric motor.
