PSA Peugeot Citroen (www.psa-peugeot-citroen.com) has selected RADIOSS, a nonlinear finite-element solver from Altair Engineering, Inc. (www.altair.com), for crash simulation and analysis.

PSA Peugeot Citroen has selected RADIOSS, a nonlinear finite-element solver from Altair Engineering, for crash simulation and analysis. RADIOSS is part of Altair's HyperWorks computer-aided engineering (CAE) software suite.

"Using RADIOSS, we can simulate very large models and can perform a complete vehicle simulation -- from model building up to crash simulation -- in the same environment," said Laurent Di Valentin, PSA Peugeot Citroen's head of numerical simulation. "We have been able to replace many physical tests with RADIOSS' numerical simulation, saving time and money in the development phase while delivering the same or even higher level of quality."
