For high-power apps, the AstraLED RGB LED promises cost and space savings without sacrificing color performance. According to the company, the component provides a 30% cost savings and a 67% real estate savings when compared to individual high-power red, green, and blue packages. The RoHS compliant LED provides full-color output in a 3W package and delivers light intensities of 8/25/20 lumens, respectively, at 300 mA (red), 350 mA (green), and 350 mA (blue) with an operating temperature range from -30°C to +85°C. Sporting a height of 3.3 mm, the component measures 10 mm x 16 mm and is available in tubes for automatic insertion.
