Ultra-White LED Is Very Bright, Very Efficient

Oct. 8, 2008
Osram Opto Semiconductors' OSLON SSL ultra-white LED offers maximum luminous flux of 130 lm at 350 mA and luminous efficiency up to 100 lm/W.

Using the latest chip technology, the ultra-white OSLON SSL LED achieves impressive brightness and high luminous efficiency of 100 lm/W. The LED’s 80° beam angle is well-suited for injecting light into external lenses. Typical applications include spotlights, desk lights, and ceiling floodlights. Thermal resistance is only 7 kilohms/W, which simplifies thermal management. At 350 mA in ultra-white (5700 and 6500°K) typical brightness is 110 lm and maximum luminous flux is 130 lm. At 350 mA and 3000°K, the OSLON SSL’s efficiency is 75 lm/W and brightness is 85 lm. At 700 mA (warm white), brightness is 155 lm. Several of the LEDs can be combined to form a cluster. A footprint of only 3 by 3 mm gives designers the flexibility to create very sophisticated solutions. OSRAM OPTO SEMICONDUCTORS, Sunnyvale, CA. (888) 446-7726.
