Building on its predecessors, a new 1U front end has been designed in a 450W version with output voltages of 12, 24 and 48 Vdc. The TPCG model’s output currents are 30.8 at 12V, 16.7A at 24V, or 9.4A at 48V. This unit is housed in ultra-compact cases measuring 1.6"H x 5"W x 10"L. Both chassis mount or hot-swap versions can be requested. A compatible 19" rack can house up to three units and produce 92.4A at 12V, 50.1A at 24V or 28.2A at 48V. Supplies may be operated in a 2+1 redundant mode, while output ORing diodes achieve glitch-free, hot-swap operation, providing continuous power to the load. Other operating features include universal 85 to 264 Vac input voltage range, power factor correction and a Class B EMI filter. The TPCG front end has an auxiliary +5 Vdc, 250 mA output, an integral LED status indicator, active current sharing and no minimum load requirement. Control and monitoring features include enable/inhibit inputs, ac power fail, dc power good and over-temperature logic outputs, and an analog current monitor output, as well as overload and over-voltage protection. An optional I2C serial data output can be used to monitor operating functions. Pricing is $225 each. UNIPOWER CORP., Coral Springs, FL. (954) 346-2442 ext. 315.
