Targeting ultra-low current input applications, the PS28xx optocouplers feature a CTR that is optimized for an input current of 1 mA. The PS2811 is a dc device for applications such as dc/dc converters, modems and PLCs. The PS2815 is an ac version of the same device.Specifications include a collector current of 40 mA, VCEO of 40V, rise and fall times of 4 ms and 5 ms, respectively, and an isolation voltage up to 2,500 VRMS. Both devices contain optically-coupled isolators with a GaAs LED and NPN silicon phototransistor and come in four-pin SSOPs measuring 2.7 mm x 7 mm with a pin pitch of 1.27 mm.
