With the launch of the Avnet Abacus Power microsite, engineers developing and designing new power projects will have direct access to a selection of power-based solutions. The site provides full details of all power products, and offers an “Ask an Expert” facility, which puts customers in direct touch with the company’s team of power specialists located throughout Europe.

“Our technical expertise across many market sectors, such as industrial, medical, lighting, instrumentation, and the consumer industries, helps to ensure that we are well equipped to support our customers with their power designs,” says Alan Jermyn, Avnet Abacus’ vice president of marketing. “At Avnet Abacus, we understand that every application is unique with specific requirements regarding electrical specification, industry regulations, product usage, reliability, and component availability. The power microsite will provide engineers with an essential tool to assist power systems development across many target applications and markets.”

The microsite includes a legislation section, covering the EcoDesign initiative and the batteries directive. This will be updated and extended as new regulations emerge. Alongside, it presents a full portfolio of products and technologies including filters, magnetics, ac-dc power supplies, dc-dc converters, point-of-load regulators, digital power, batteries, and custom power-supply design. In addition, visitors can download the latest Avnet Abacus power products brochure.
