Advanced Linear Devices' EH301 EPAD energy-harvesting modules power wireless circuits for intermittent duty-cycle operations in the 3-V to 5-V range, including Bluetooth applications, freeing them from batteries or line power. Harvestable energy sources include vibration, light, chemical reactions, fluid and air flow, and environmental heat.

The modules use Electrically Programmable Analog Device (EPAD) technology. This technology enables precision depletion and enhancement mode MOSFETs, including zero-threshold and zero-power devices. The modules can thus begin operating from 0.0 V and 0 W to harness even miniscule energy levels. Available now, the modules are $36.54 in quantities of 1000.
