I/O Unit Delivers High-Speed Sampling To PXI/cPCI Systems

June 1, 2001

Representing the company's first simultaneous sampling high-speed data acquisition device for PXI/CompactPCI systems, the 12-bit NI 6115 can sample at rates of up to 10 MS/s on each of its four channels. With the high-speed, multi-function I/O device, engineers can record high bandwidth signals, including signals from mobile telephony, radar, sonar, and ultrasonic systems, as well as analyze high-frequency characteristics or transients within analog or digital waveforms.
The device offers an input bandwidth of 5 MHz and comes with software selectable filters of 50 and 500 kHz for alias protection. It is capable of correlated high-speed operations combining analog input, analog output, timed digital I/O, and counter/timer functions. The device also features: two high-speed analog output channels that can sustain waveform generation up to 2.5 MS/s; analog and digital triggering; eight high-speed digital I/O lines clocked up to 10 MS/s; and PLL. PXI and external clocking for synchronization. Price: $3,995.
