Vishay Intertechnology Inc.’s new LPE-3325-CST series of surface-mount, current-sensing transformers feature five standard turns ratios from 30 to 125 in a lead (Pb)-free construction.
Designed to provide optimal performance at frequencies of 100 kHz and greater, the LPE-3325-CST is intended for switching power supplies, ac current detection, and output supplies for control circuitry in household appliances and medical and office equipment.
Available with turns ratios of 30, 40, 50, 70, and 125, the transformer features secondary inductance ranging from 180µH to 3000µH at 100 kHz and 0.1V and a maximum secondary resistance range of 1Ω to 7.70Ω. All five configurations are rated for 6A.
Each transformer measures 0.265 in. × 0.323 in. [6.73 mm × 8.20 mm], with a 0.205-in. [5.21-mm] height profile. Custom configurations are available on request. The new devices are specified for an operating temperature range of –40°C to +130°C and are compatible with surface-mount process temperatures.
