Heatsinks Keep Pentium II Processors Cool

Aug. 1, 1998

Designed to meet the high-performance thermal management demands of the latest versions of Pentium II processors, this heatsink family embraces five series: Series 828, 838, 848 and 858 passive heatsinks and Series 859 active heatsinks. The passive sinks perform in the range of 0.70°C/W with an air flow of 200 linear feet per minute, and the Series 859 active heatsink with 45-mm ball bearing dc fan provides a typical thermal performance of 0.52°C/W. All products are for Pentium IIs running at up to 400 MHz. Optional phase-change thermal interface materials minimize temperature drop without the mess of thermal compounds.
