Crimp-Style Connectors Aid Prototyping

Nov. 1, 1999

By using crimp-style terminals, Series SH connectors are said to make prototyping and small production runs of high-density electronic products, such as VCRs, cell phones, and notebook computers, more cost effective to perform. The 1.0-mm pitch connectors come in both a side-mount style having 2 to 15 or 20 circuits and a top-mount version with 2 to 14 circuits. The phosphor-bronze, tin-plated terminals are rated at 1.0A (ac/dc) at 50V. Gold plating is available. And the housing is made of PBT rated UL94V-O, with the connectors capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -25°C to 85°C.
