Connector Designed For Chemical Analysis

Oct. 1, 2001

A connector block assembly with shielded cable has been designed for chemical analysis in medical equipment applications. Spring-loaded contact probes were not utilized, as the connectors are required to fit directly into R25CR receptacles. The current requirements through the receptacles is less than 1 pico-amp. The new connector meets the requirements for many medical applications, including adhering to strict specifications, sporting a fail-safe orientation, having everything shielded and protected; and being cost effective.
