B&K Precision's new DDS sweep function generators, models 4007B and 4013B, improve upon former models with an enhanced user interface and lower prices. The new models can generate sine and square waveforms from 0.1 Hz to 7 MHz and 0.1 Hz to 12 MHz respectively. Both models also output triangle/ramp waveforms from 0.1 Hz to 1 MHz and provide variable output voltages from 0 to 10 Vpp into 50 Ω or 20 Vpp into open circuit. Notable improvements to the interface over previous models are bright, informative LCD displays and numerical keypads that ease entry of waveform parameters. The instruments also provide built-in OVP, OCP and short circuit protection on the main output, linear and logarithmic sweep functions, variable dc offset from -4.5 V to 4.5 V (into 50 Ω), and adjustable 20% to 80% duty cycle up to 1 MHz for square and triangle waveform output. Available immediately, the 4007B and 4013B DDS sweep function generators list at $375 and $425 respectively.
