Talking About Vehicle Electrification and Patrol Cars

March 4, 2025
Vehicle electrification can become a complex issue in demanding applications such as patrol cars and other emergency-response platforms.

The growing vehicle electrification trend is expanding throughout almost every facet of our society. When many consider vehicle electrification, they tend to dive into the granularity of the solution sets and “how do we get to where we're going.” However, application-specific needs also should be addressed in their migration to electric vehicles.

In this podcast, we talk with a couple of fellow editors, Andy Turudic from Electronic Design and Paul Peluso from Officer Magazine about considerations when it comes to patrol cars. Downsides include reduced load capacity in smaller EVs.
